Quality care programs offer school-age children healthy social and educational experiences led by trained staff in a safe environment. Here at Mariam Boyd Elementary School, we have structured academic and enrichment activities taking place daily from the time school dismisses until 6:00 p.m.

Our coordinator, Tonya Carter and assistant Danielle Verzaal, strive to make everyday a pleasurable learning experience for children enrolled in the afterschool program. Both women are first aid/CPR certified and have attended numerous training workshops in the field of childcare.

Our number one goal is to ensure the safety and the well being of your children. Enrollment in the afterschool program is open to any student in grades K-5 at Mariam Boyd. There are policy outlines and procedures that must be covered for all children who enter the program. There are charges for students attending the program. The afterschool program does not operate on inclement weather cancellation days. Further documentation about the Afterschool Program can be located on our home page in the Related Documents section.

Please see the afterschool personnel at Mariam Boyd or call Pat Draffin in the Community Schools Office at (252) 257-3184 if you are interested in enrolling your child today!
